Latest Information: Change in support provision for the Web of Science Service for UK Education.

Further to the previous announcement, confirming the change of support provision for institutions subscribing to the Web of Science Service for UK Education with effect from 01 August 2022, please find updates below - previous announcement details at:

From 01 August 2022, Jisc will no longer be providing support for the Web of Science Service for UK Education. From that date, Clarivate will be the support contact for institutions that subscribe to the Web of Science Service for UK Education agreement - note that this change will only impact Jisc subscribed members.

Updates

- We would like to clarify that Jisc member institutions will continue to be able to subscribe to the Clarivate agreements negotiated by Jisc Collections on their behalf (available via the Licence subscription manager). Jisc will also continue to negotiate on behalf of its members for the upcoming renewal of the Clarivate agreement which includes Web of Science. Links to the relevant Jisc agreements can be found in the Licence subscriptions manager (just enter 'Clarivate' into the search bar):

- To assist in the seamless transition of support, Jisc and Clarivate have scheduled a phased approach to the management of Web of Science helpdesk enquiries:

  • 20th June 2022 - from this date Clarivate will respond directly to all enquiries received into their helpdesk from Jisc subscribed members, rather than forwarding to Jisc Web of Science Support for UK Education.
  • 11th July 2022 - from this date, Jisc Web of Science Support for UK Education will forward to Clarivate the details of any Web of Science (WoS) support requests they receive that require Clarivate involvement. Clarivate will then respond to the user directly.
  • 18th July 2022 - from this date, all support requests emailed to the Web of Science Support for UK Education helpdesk (webofscience@jisc.ac.uk) will be automatically redirected to the Clarivate support team who will respond to the user directly.
  • 01 August 2022 - Jisc will no longer support the Web of Science Service for UK Education and users are required to contact Clarivate for all WoS support requests. Clarivate contact details at: https://wok.mimas.ac.uk/transition.html#supportcontacts

- Note: after 01 August 2022 emails sent to webofscience@jisc.ac.uk will continue to be redirected to the Clarivate support team, however we do recommend that you use Clarivate's contact details as the email redirect will be in place for a limited period only, contact details can be found at:
