Clarivate is increasing its Web of Science investment with the addition of a 10-year archive and new title expansion for the ESCI. The Emerging Sources Citation Index back file covers a 10 year period between 2005 to 2014.

Early bird fee for ESCI pricing for Jisc Collections Members until 31 October 2017.

Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), extends the universe of publications in Web of Science to include high-quality, peer-reviewed publications of regional importance and in emerging scientific fields. As a new index in the Web of Science Primary Collection, Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) expands the citation universe and reflects the growing global body of science and scholarly activity.

ESCI adds over 7,500 new Journals to the Web of Science Primary Collection from over 100+ countries and more than 2,700 publishers represented. 80% of the research output is from outside North-America. The majority of the journals is focused on Social Sciences and Arts and Humanities.

  • Deepens coverage in many subjects and disciplines;
  • Captures new and emerging fields before they display high impact on the corpus of literature
  • Adds hundreds of new journals from independent publishers and scholarly societies.
