Jisc Web of Science Service for UK Education Support have organised a series of ***FREE*** Web of Science training sessions in various locations throughout the UK, training is provided by Clarivate Analytics (formerly the IP & Science business of Thomson Reuters). Library/research support staff at UK academic institutions who subscribe to the Web of Science Service for UK Education are invited to attend.

Topics include:

  • Strengthen Research Discovery Strategies (in order to discover the most relevant and important research in your topic)
  • Strengthen Research Assessment Practices (assess impact using citation data)
  • Improve identification of the producers of research (to improve accuracy when assessing productivity)
  • Better manage your primary research information with Endnote

Note there may be slight variation to the topics covered at each venue, according to the hosting Institution's requirements.

Course materials and format
The course will combine a mixture of demonstrations and structured hands-on practical sessions. In addition there will be opportunities for attendees to ask questions and provide feedback.
