Regional Training Sessions - New Interface - ISI Web of Knowledge Service for UK Education

From mid 2007 the ISI Web of Knowledge Service for UK Education will have a new interface. Thomson Scientific have described this as "not just another upgrade - and it's definitely more than just a new look" (further details regarding this can be found at . In order to support this MIMAS, in conjunction with Thomson Scientific, are offering a series of free training sessions for library and support staff.


These workshops will:

  • feature an intensive exploration of the new interface
  • provide the opportunity to participate in a structured hands-on session
  • provide the opportunity for an informal hands-on for any/all products - Thomson Scientific and MIMAS support staff will be on hand to assist

  • 25 July 2007 1pm – 4pm. The University of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
  • 26 July 2007 1pm – 4pm. Glasgow University.
  • 27 July 2007 10 am – 1pm. Queens University Belfast.

Who is this course for?

These courses are for library and support staff. Previous experience of ISI Web of Knowledge and Web of Science is advised.

Course materials and format

The workshops will combine a mixture of presentations and hands-on practical sessions; in addition there will be opportunities for attendees to ask questions.
