Q1 Upgrades 2007 - ISI Web of Knowledge Service for UK Education

MIMAS are pleased to announce that we have now received details from Thomson Scientific regarding the Q1 Upgrades for the ISI Web of Knowledge Service for UK Education.

Thomson Scientific have advised that the upgrades are scheduled to be implemented on 22 April 2007

*** New ISI Web of Knowledge features for April 2007 ***

*EndNote Web*
  • OpenURL links - This will allow users to access full text available for their institution
  • Find and remove duplicate records
  • Bug fixes with regards to using Cite While You Write behind a firewall

*Journal Use Reports* - this product requires additional institution subscription
  • 2 new report types
  • Ability for the administrator to delete previously uploaded data

*Other minor change* - (Web of Science only)
  • Distinct Author Identification System - Changes to the back end system to improve the quality of results
  • Note - no visual change to the interface
