Update - New release of Web of Science 5.20 -- WoS - Core collection now includes a new ESCI index

Following the latest release of Web of Science 5.20 a new index is now available, Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)

  • ESCI is designed to extend the universe of publications in Web of Science with additional high-quality, peer-reviewed publications of regional importance and in emerging research fields
  • ESCI makes content important to funders, key opinion leaders, and evaluators visible in Web of Science even if it has not yet impacted an international audience
  • ESCI provides Web of Science users with expanded options to discover relevant scholarly content

This has been included for institutions that subscribe for the Web of Science Service for UK Education.
