December - Web of Knowledge Update - * Free * UK Regional Courses.

A series of free regional training courses have been arranged at academic institutions around the UK in December. These sessions will cover the new Web of Knowledge 5.3 (released 17 July) and an update of what is new, including the new Book Citation Index (released in October) and new ways of accessing the Web of Knowledge, Mobile access and Roaming.

Who is this course for?
These courses are for library and support staff. As this is not an introductory course previous experience of the databases is advised.

Course materials and format.
The workshops will combine a mixture of presentations and structured hands-on practical sessions; in addition there will be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and provide feedback.

  • Mon 05 December PM - The University of Manchester. 1.00 - 4.00pm.

  • Thur 08 December AM - King's College London. 9.30 - 12.30pm.
  • Thur 08 December PM - King's College London. 1.30 - 4.30pm.
  • Fri 09 December PM - Cardiff University. 1.00 - 4.00pm.

  • Mon 12 December PM - University of Bath. 1.00 - 4.00pm.
  • Tue 13 December PM - Nottingham Trent University. 1.00 - 4.00pm.
  • Wed 14 December PM - University of Liverpool. 1.00 - 4.00pm.
  • Thur 15 December PM - Newcastle University. 1.00 - 4.00pm.
  • Fri 16 December PM - The University of Manchester. 1.00 - 4.00pm.
