Update Training – ISI Web of Knowledge Service for UK Education

Please find below details of free 'Update' training courses for the ISI Web of Knowledge Service for UK Education.

The ISI Web of Knowledge Service for UK Education now features quarterly updates and enhancements with several new features made available in each upgrade. In order to support this MIMAS and Thomson Scientific are offering a series of FREE 'Update' training sessions for library and support staff in order to explore these enhancements.

We are pleased to announce that attendees on each of these sessions will be entered into a free draw to win and iPod Shuffle. There are 7 iPod Shuffles up for grabs and attendees on each of the 7 dates will be entered into one of the 7 prize draws.

Programme

These workshops will:

  • feature an intensive exploration of new enhancements to the Web of Knowledge and Web of Science
  • provide the opportunity to participate in a structured hands-on session
  • provide training on the basics of EndNote Web which will be focused on working within the WoK framework
  • provide the opportunity for an informal hands-on for any/all products – Thomson Scientific and MIMAS support staff will be on hand to assist

Who is this course for?

These courses are for library and support staff. Previous experience of Web of Knowledge and Web of Science is advised.

Course materials and format

The workshops will combine a mixture of presentations and hands-on practical sessions; in addition there will be opportunities for attendees to ask questions.
