Re: ISI databases – Connection problems

You may experience difficulty in accessing some of the ISI databases that are hosted on our US servers. At present we seem to be experiencing problems with:

  • Journal Citation Reports (JCR)
  • Derwent Innovations Index (DII)
  • Biosis Previews

This has been caused by the events in New York yesterday as our carrier Digital Island had a major IT hub at the Trade Center. Both Digital Island and ISI are working to remedy these access problems as quickly as possible.

No problems have yet been reported accessing Current Contents Connect (though some individual subscribers may have problems accessing the End User version) and the MIMAS hosted services (Web of Science and ISI Proceedings) are still working normally.

Technicians have been working to resolve these problems since they occurred and we will do our very best to re-establish services as soon as possible. We will post updated information to keep you informed, and thank you for bearing with us in the meantime.

Best wishes,

Amanda HART
Territory Manager, UK, Eire and the Netherlands
