ISI WoS: New Holdings Option Available "Free" of Charge!!!!

15 March 2001

Over the last few months increased interest has been expressed in the ISI Web of Science Service for UK Education providing a Holdings Search Option. This would mean that users would benefit from knowing if a paper copy is taken as a Library subscription, thereby giving them the opportunity to refer to that when they find an appropriate citation as well as potentially providing a link to electronic journals not currently the subject of an agreement between ISI and the publisher concerned. This would be made available through a Holdings button that would appear on the screen.

The Web of Science are now happy to announce that the new Holdings Option is now available for all Web of Science Subscribers. Currently 15 institutions have signed up for this additional free service. Systems which have successfully implemented the holdings option include Geac, Talis, Unicorn, Innopac and DDE Libra.
